The design
In the Travelling Centre Project , our aim is to focus on specific themes related to the communities daily life.
With Jeevan residents in Varanasi, we asked the children to respond to a given theme..
- What make you feel happy or sad in your surrounding/daily life? -
We found essential to give them the opportunity through the creative process to refer to important and sensitive topics that the community has been living in, such as displacement, conflict, poverty and abuse amongst others.
Through walks and photographies of the surroundings, also drawings, researching and group discussions, the children gathered inspiration and ideas that are developed in a very personal and relevant sketches.
Our role is to act as a guidance in the creative process to inspire each participant of the project.
