The ceremony
In the Travelling Centre Project, a ceremony is organised and designed by the participants in order to invite their relatives and the community to burn or assist to it's consumption.
During Jeevan's ceremony, as we waited for the night, a video presenting the making process of the piece was projected and snacks and drinks were offered.
The children lit the pyrotechnic piece at different extremities. The consumption was at first slow, but as it moved towards the centre, it grew in power and light leading the public to shout out in excitement and joy.
When the light finally extinguished, the designs and drawings remained and were engraved in the wood for ever!
